In Germany, both the mask and testing obligation ends on 1 March for employees in clinics and nursing homes. This was decided by the Federal Ministry of Health and the health ministries of the federal states.

Only the mask requirement for visitors to hospitals and nursing homes will remain in force until 7 April. Only a few residents in nursing homes have been infected recently, and the rate of covid deaths has also dropped significantly, said German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach, explaining the reasons for the decision.
