Shortage of skilled workers: Significant need for more nursing staff in Rhineland-Palatinate

Time and again, calculations are made to help us look into the future. The Institute for Labour Market and Educational Research (IAB) has calculated in a model how much nursing staff will be needed in the coming years. Among other things, this is intended to create a basis for policy-makers to make the right decisions and to show employers in the sector any bottlenecks that may arise early on.

The development of the latest model calculation confirms that of previous years: Germany needs significantly more skilled nursing staff. In the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate alone, the results indicate that between 22,700 and 31,900 full-time jobs will have to be filled in nursing care for the elderly alone by 2035. On the one hand, this is due to the fact that many currently working nursing staff will retire by then. At the same time, the number of elderly people in need of care in Germany will continue to rise until then.w-does-it-work#matchings

It is therefore all the more important that well-trained and motivated nursing staff, especially from abroad, find their way to German employers and successfully continue their professional careers there. Interested? Then register without obligation at Signite!
