Demand for highly qualified specialists is increasing in the electrical trades

The energy transition, i.e. the switch in energy generation from fossil fuels (e.g. coal) to sustainable energy sources (solar panels, wind turbines) and electric cars, is increasing the demand for well-trained skilled workers in the industry. In addition, an above-average number of people in Germany will be retiring in the coming years.

There are currently almost 100,000 vacancies. This applies not only to trainees, but in particular to highly qualified journeymen and master craftsmen. An analysis by the German Electrical and Information Technology Trades Association (ZVEH) shows that 10% more jobs in Germany cannot be filled than in the previous year.

Due to the increased focus on the growing areas of photovoltaics, e-mobility, heat pumps, storage and energy management, more and more skilled workers with increasingly specialised knowledge are needed. The developing market for further training is making this possible. This also opens up attractive career opportunities in Germany for foreign specialists, such as electronics technicians.
